YOUR STRENGTHS
Communication
Problem-Solving
Resourceful
Assertive
Confident
Catalysts have a natural command that can be magnetic, granting you power and authority. But this same trait that gives you a lot of responsibility, might ignite insecurity or withdrawal in the people around you. And the timelines of your collaborators may not match your enthusiasm or ambition.
As a Catalyst, it’s particularly important to pay attention to how you leave room for others to share their ideas and feedback. Remember that vulnerability is not a weakness, but an opportunity for openness. Entrust others to lead too and remind yourself that it’s okay to ask for support.
Want to maximize your impact as a Catalyst?
Here’s what you do:
Be on the lookout for burnout.
People depend on you to drive things forward, make important choices, and influence resources, which may lead to decision fatigue and exhaustion.
Manage your energy.
While you might be able to make some “quick decisions,” it’s actually as a result of your years of experience and training. To retrieve that knowledge and creativity, it takes more energy than it appears… especially when you are asked to do it on demand (versus of your own volition).
Reconnect with yourself and your core values.
A framework for the types of projects and relationships you’re interested in cultivating, will help you operate in your zone of genius with agility.
Ask for help.
You attract people who want to help and might insert themselves into your plans. Own your power by being diligent, discerning, and specific when requesting support.
Plan self care.
Schedule time to allow yourself to be in a judgment free zone where you can express yourself, your challenges, and your dreams.
Celebrate the small victories.
You have a great capacity to get things done, try celebrating the victories in your self growth journey as well – hiring support, being vulnerable and open, etc.
